Radio 2 interview
6th April 2009
In March 2009 Adam was interviewed by Mariella Frostrup for a new BBC Radio 2 series called Blonde on Blonde
The three part series to be broadcast during April starts tomorrow; Tuesday 7th April 2009 with a 1 hour programme about Doris Day, with follow up programmes on Diana Dors (featuring the Adam interview) and another on Marilyn Monroe.
Adam agreed to do the interview as she was a dear friend and her iconic and cultural status has not really been acknowledged. The interview was very enjoyable and a positive celebration of her career. said Adam.
The complete Prince Charming outfit, as worn by Adam for Prince Charming Revue tour in 1981 and 1982, will go on permanent display at the Victoria and Albert museum in London from tomorrow

Adam: My Day at the Q Awards
10th October 2008
Adam recounts his day at the Q awards where he received the Q icon award for 2008
The 19th Q Magazine Awards were held at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London today, October 6th 2008, where Adam Ant was presented with this prestigious recognition.
Previous recipients have included Jimmy Page, Jeff Lynne and U2.
‘Adam was thrilled and surprised to be given the Q magazine Icon Award today at a ceremony in London. Receiving the statue from the Sugababes, he said how flattering it was to get an award that last year had gone to Paul McCartney, and that it was an honour to be chosen for the work that he’d done in the past—and that he was looking forward to next year with anticipation, and not only because it would be the 30th anniversary of his first album release.’
Q Magazine has been holding the awards ceremonies in London since 1990, where they have now become one of the major music events around.
This year’s event, with around 450 invited guests, was hosted by comedian Alan Carr.
The Q Magazine website states that the event is “A unique and intimate celebration with arguably the world’s highest concentration of musical talent and fame.”

The recording of that evening is soon to be released. It will include songs performed on the night taken from Adam’s back catalogue, cover versions, and snatches of unscripted dialogue between Adam and his guitarist for the night, Dave Pash.
